1. Who we are
Karrixon is operated by Adrian Rix, trading as Karrixon (“Karrixon”, “we”, “us” or “our”). For the purposes of UK data protection law, Adrian Rix trading as Karrixon is the data controller for the personal information described in this Privacy Notice.

2. Information we collect
When you apply to join the Karrixon expert network, communicate with us, or take part in an expert opportunity, we may collect information including:
- your name, email address, telephone number and location;
- your LinkedIn profile and other professional profile information;
- current and previous employers, job titles and professional experience;
- industry sectors, expertise categories, areas you can discuss and topics you cannot discuss;
- availability, indicative hourly rate and participation preferences;
- verification information and internal notes relating to your application or participation;
- records of introductions, approvals, scheduled calls, call duration, feedback and payment-related information where relevant;
- communications you send to us and information you choose to provide.
3. How we use your information
We may use your information to:
- assess and verify applications to join the expert network;
- maintain and administer expert profiles;
- identify potential matches for client research requirements;
- contact you about relevant paid research interviews or advisory opportunities;
- present a professional summary of your relevant experience to prospective clients where appropriate;
- manage approvals, introductions, scheduling and call administration;
- calculate and administer fees, payments and related records where applicable;
- manage compliance, conflicts, restrictions, complaints and operational risk;
- improve and operate the Karrixon service.
4. Legal bases for processing
Depending on the activity, we may process personal information because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and developing the Karrixon expert network, to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement, to perform an agreement with you, to comply with legal obligations, or because you have given consent where consent is the appropriate legal basis.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal.
5. Information shared with clients
Where you are being considered for a relevant project, we may provide a prospective client with a professional summary of your experience, former roles, relevant employers, expertise and other information necessary to assess your suitability.
We do not intend to include your private contact details in an initial client profile. Contact details may be released as part of an approved introduction where appropriate and after the relevant approval steps have been completed.
6. Other recipients and service providers
We may use trusted service providers to host, store, organise or process information on our behalf, such as database, email, website, productivity, accounting or payment providers. These providers may only process information in accordance with their role and applicable data protection requirements.
We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, legal process or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
7. International transfers
Some service providers or clients may be located outside the United Kingdom. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we will take appropriate steps to ensure that the transfer is permitted under applicable UK data protection law and that suitable safeguards are used where required.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to maintain an active expert relationship, manage opportunities, resolve disputes and meet legal, tax, accounting or regulatory obligations.
If your profile becomes inactive, we may retain limited records where reasonably necessary for compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or record-keeping. We periodically review whether information remains necessary.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss or misuse. No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights including the right to:
- request access to your personal information;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion of your information in certain circumstances;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to certain processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive certain information in a portable format where applicable;
- withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

We may update this Privacy Notice as Karrixon develops or where legal or operational requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date shown above.
